Rogue pastors endorse candidates, but IRS looks away

The Tax expempt status or commonly referred to as the 501C3, has kept many pastors from commenting on candidates or even speaking out about government policies.  This wasn’t always the case and in fact before the onset of the tax laws set in motion at the beginning of the last century pastors were very vocal and opinionated.   Pastors served as a way to get information about candidates to the people.  This has been replaced with a bias media and the tax laws are such that if a pastor weighs in as it were, on issues or candidates he could lose the 501C3 status for their church.  It’s refreshing to see…
